Welcome to the Dolores School District RE-4A website!

We are a high achieving school district located in Dolores, Colorado. Our School District achieved thehighest level of student achievement and academic growth, “Accredited with Distinction” as measured by the Colorado Department of Education’s District Performance Frameworks Report 2011.  Our schools, preschool, elementary, middle, and high provide rigorous and engaging learning opportunities for our 731 students who come from diverse backgrounds. Many students live in the rural areas surrounding the town of Dolores. Our students successfully compete in numerous sports as well as academic competitions. Our parents are very supportive of the schools, and the schools serve as a cornerstone of the community.

We are dedicated to the success of every student. We offer a variety of programs at the secondary level, including vocational certificates and up to 32 hours of college credit may be earned while in high school. While we value and focus on academics, we also stress character education and community service. We provide our students with a safe and positive learning environment at all levels.  Many of our highly qualified staff grew up here and have returned to Dolores to work and teach in our district.

We invite you to contact us for any reason. You may contact the superintendent at scooper@dolores.k12.co.us or phone our district office at 970-882-7255. We encourage you to send any suggestions for school improvement of any kind. Please click on the suggestion box below:
