The Dolores School District maintains a cafeteria during the school year. Breakfast is served from 8 to 8:25 a.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ala carte snacks are available to Middle School and High School students during meal or break times. Our Food Service Director is Chuck Soukup, who is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy. Contact him with any questions or suggestions.

Food services include hot lunches and breakfasts, through participation in the National School Lunch Program. An approved lunch is made available for students to meet at least one third of their daily food requirements.

Food service programs are operated on a nonprofit basis.

Detailed food analysis of each day's menu: calories, cholesterol, sodium, fiber, iron, calcium, vitamins and more. This information is produced automatically when our Food Service Director plans menus. See the Menus page for this information.

Vending machines: School vending machines are stocked according to Federal Guidelines for nutritious choices in vending machines.

The District has a committee to develop and monitor a school wellness program which includes supporting and promoting proper dietary habits. Please contact our school nurse, Kim Ackles, for more information regarding the Wellness Committee.
